Welcome to Scratch with Mr. Jagpal; this site was constructed to teach you how to program with Scratch. Scratch is a basic coding language that uses 'building block' style coding to create animated stories, interactive games, simulations, and beautiful artwork. The Lifelong Kindergarten group created Scratch at the MIT Media Lab. The purpose of using Scratch is to introduce the learners to the basics of coding concepts and develop their computational thinking skills before moving into more powerful general-purpose programming languages, like C++, Java, or C.
